Pros

The international experience alone made this job worth the headache and stress of the bureaucracy. I worked with people from all over the world and had the experience to travel to multiple developing countries as part of my assignment.

Cons

Bureaucracy! The UN is a slow moving machine. Be prepared to experience a lot of frustration in this modern day spoils system

Pros

-Employer Name Recognition -Exposure to Global Operations -Diversified Staff

Cons

-G-Staff are WAY underpaid (while they do most of the critical work - at least in my department) -Benefits of P-Staff are way out of proportion compared with G-Staff. -Obsolete IT softwares. -Some (not all) vacancies are pre-determined despite job listing posting.
