Pros

It's a great chance to work with people in different backgrounds. The co-workers are very friendly and helpful.

Cons

The work is basically administrative. You might have to do very boring things like copying, typing, summarizing.

Pros

Lots of travel , and good benefits .

Cons

You may want to stay single. Most bases are in conflict zones, and the leave rotation is not good.

Typical bureaucratic hell

Pros

You can get engaged in global governance processes - or rather watch powerful countries govern others. You can get a good insight into the makings of international relations

Cons

Little room for ambition. Typically slow bureucratic process of doing anything from finalising projects to respecting deadlines. Few people actually want to make change in the world. Very backward thinking
