Pros

-Really exciting working at the UN HQ -Interesting international colleagues -Interesting work -Decent work hours -Good pay for this type of work

Cons

-Lack of job security. Short contracts that are renewed at the ver last minute with gaps in between, leaving you without salary for periods -No benefits. Consultants do not qualify for benefits. -Bureaucratic - everything has to go through a million layers before it is approved -Slow HR processes -Outdated office facilities and HR systems etc. No social activities or facilities to improve employee satisfaction
