VMWare prides itself on hiring the Top 2% of candidates, and when it comes to male candidates this is true.

Cons

So, so many cons to working for VMWare. 1. Gender matters - if you are a male you will likely be overlooked for far less qualified female candidates. 2. Gender matters - if you file a complaint against a female employee, you will be assigned an investigator who will promptly dismiss your complaint and then inform the other party of your complaint. 3. Gender matters - female employees are routinely given higher review ratings, higher raises and greater bonuses.

Progressive work environment Benefits and compensation Needed product set There are employee events that are great Subtle perks that lend to a decent environment

Cons

Out dated management Difficult territories Difficult product to sell Cold calling requirements Horrible sales enablement team Pay and comp are not valued adequately High base, but low opportunity for sales as sales cycle is long and product is not a must have then comission is chopped to bits in order to sell product

Cons

Turn-and-burn sales job, cold calling constantly monitored by management, expectation to constantly be on the phone dialing, true "call center" sales environment, super young team
