Pros

The environment is made for people being introduced into the world of virtualization. The other support engineers all have specialties and are willing to help you excel as it helps them to get you trained to help offload the overall workload for each team. You start with training that would cost over $2k per class and you take over four classes to get skilled with VMware products. Not only that, you are able to request to take other certification courses (paid for through education expenses) and they will also assist with certification exam fees.

Cons

Large companies require much more effort to be recognized by management and senior management. Call center environment is open by it is slowly becoming micro managed.

Pros

1/2 Months training on Virtualization Technology when you join Nice canteen and office/campus Nice to have on CV Casual environment

Cons

- Job exclusively centered on metrics/statistics, every move is now monitored to squeeze you more. - Regularly not trained on new products or only 6 months later. - No time given to work on projects beside closing support requests. - Very repetitive and exhausting. - Support department is considered to waste money by top management because it does not sell anything. With a such vision, it is unlikely to see new benefits given to the department albeit the company makes more money than ever. - Interests conflicts as (Senior) management is made up of family/friends. - No medium/long term vision, one day you are asked to produce quality, the day after, quantity is the only word you hear.

Pros

Great technology, but products full of bugs. Good stocks and good office location. You can get better jobs after working in vmware for sometime.

Cons

No recognition process. no Reward & recognition unlike companies. No Internal job postings. Promotions are decided by Sr. Managers and directors with no transparency. Though technology is good but the Management has no clue about running operations.
