Venture Capital owned, and the axe is happening fast without a true understanding of the talent being axed. How do you run faster than the competition that is already ahead of you when you cut off a foot? It is death by a thousand cuts, and they are already at 999,999 cuts. Sadly the 4th CEO in the last 4 years is excellent at fixing the bottom line, so this once former industry leader is now a poor piggy getting lipstick for the auction. Good for Carlyle, sad for anyone still left associated with the truly proud and once great company.

Little or no recognition when you go the extra mile/work beyond your level. No training provided to interns/graduates, you are expected to pull your own weight within a few weeks of starting. Ultimately trying to produce the best solutions you can is a waste of time, as the difference in engineering quality across sites means you can spend months on a component to have it reliant on something being developed elsewhere which barely works. There is a total lack of job security....
