Pros

Flexible; I've been a student since I started, they always accommodate my classes and appreciate that a change in university timetable is priority. Annual bonus and discounts are a plus

Cons

Some managers are not the best, but that just depends on the person. Head office decide on layout and stock, so customers (especially regulars) might get upset if there's nothing we can do about change.

Pros

In Waitrose the partners all really care about each other, which means problems are quick to get fixed and you are not looked down upon as long as your are a reliable and strong member of staff. The pay and bonus is excellent.

Cons

Be prepared to cope with impossible customers. The Waitrose and John Lewis policy for customer service means that even for customers being completely out of line, they will still likely get treated perfectly despite how they treat you, as management will do as much as they can to avoid losing customers.
