Pros

Good discount and friendly staff to work alongside in store. Was also a relaxed environment to work in at times and possible to move up if you wanted to.

Cons

Experience very much depended on who your manager was - greatly differing styles. Also it was difficult to change shifts if you couldn't work. Moreover, the hours could be unsociable. I.E working until gone 10pm during the week.

Pros

Benefits - e.g. discount in John Lewis and Waitrose, annual bonus is very generous, lots of good corporate discounts Good opportunity to progress and change career direction

Cons

There is a very obvious disparity between the management board and the senior management across head office, with different agendas and a lack of cohesive strategy slowing down progress and contributing heavily to office politics.
