Good place to work

Pros

It was my first job and the colleagues at the store were very friendly and welcoming. Hence, I was able to settle in more easily than I expected. The hours were flexible and I was able to change my shifts a number of times due to other commitments.

Cons

When I had to work on counters, I felt we were badly understaffed compared to other areas in the store, eg. checkout, stock. As a consequence, those working on the counters often had to shoulder a huge workload while being asked to cover other areas at the same time. At times, there were some unreasonable customers too. Training was neglected too. The pay is good relative to other retail stores.

Pros

The bonus is good and you do meet a lot of people while working there.

Cons

Getting time off can be a pain staking process. A strong lock of communication between managers

Pros

All the staff are friendly, and everyone takes care of you. The pay is good and so is the food at lunch. Lots of opportunities and very flexible with shifts.

Cons

Not really much to say here. I love working at Waitrose as a part time job, but I guess it isn't great for a full time.
