Pros

This is a company that gives alot of opportunity but to move up you need to put in alot of time. The pay and benefits are decent.

Cons

Your experience working for walgreens mostly depends on your store manager. They are all differant and expect differant things. It is expected that you work 6 days for 2 months over the holidays and alot of the reviews are subjective. Politics are not that bad but still significant. There is no point in being an exa unless you think you can be a store manager within two years. After that most burn out and end up working elsewhere.

Pros

The company is growing fast and there is a lot of job stability. Lot's of walgreens stores all over the country. The compensation package is fairly competitive. The stores are well staffed. Chance to move on to higher position if capable.

Cons

bad working schedule , working lot's of weekends , have to stand on feet all day.

Pros

Walgreens is a great company. One of the few companies, that during these economic times has not laid off 1 person. The area where I work, everyone that works in the district office is very competent. Some things I wish would change, but I know in time it will. Walgreens stock are doing very well compared to other Drug Stores. At Walgreens you are offered a chance to enroll in Profit Sharing. I have enrolled and my first year I deposited about $1100 from my pay and give you from 2-3 times that amount, which makes my new balance at the beginning of the year about $3000. That is Great!!!

Cons

As a manager we have a lot of work on our shoulders, its almost impossible to get all of the work done within in the store with all of the refunds, exchanges helping out the Pharmacy when needed and keeping an eye out for thieves. I love working for the company.
