Pros

The employees are some of the kindest, sweetest people you'll ever work with

Cons

The corporate mentality. There was a clerk whose baby died while she was at work because her head got caught in the railing. The clerk had been there over 5 months. Because she had not been there 6 months, they wouldn't pay her funeral pay. They treat their assistant managers poorly, transferring them just to gauge their loyalty, and favoritism is rampant. Unless you are willing to sell your soul to them, they don't consider you an "engaged" employee.

Pros

Co-workers, a lot of these folks are hard working, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. Some of the management actually wants you to think for yourself & progress you as a person & leader. Benefits plan is good.

Cons

Low wages; when you work there 5 years, you should make more than $9 an hour. Some customers just have perpetually bad days and it can eat at you if you let them. Some management are unable to lead a store properly. Not too many opportunities for advancement. It can be a dead-end for most
