Pros

I am into software designing and development. I have been working for close to an year. I found the work culture to be pretty decent. My reporting in India is for namesake only. My managers in India take care of only appraisals, approvals. For deliveries, I am only responsible to US managers. Taking leaves and other benefits are quite decent when compared with Indian competitors and not the best in the Industry. Great place for women and for someone looking for a work-life balance.

Cons

If you are a workoholic, this isn't your place. They have a pay system which equates you with the market leader and your peers in the company without taking note of whether you are into support, delivery or designing which I have found to be a bit disappointing. I also feel a bit skeptical about the appraisal model as the people responsible for appraising you aren't the ones who really know what all you have been doing so far! Lastly, not truly a MNC as I found the project managers to be driven by a regional bias in their day to day work. Even the AVP, VP and SVPs can be found in cubicles resorting to regional language which shouldn't have been the case.

Great company to work for but pay is not the best.

Pros

You control your own destiny based on your sales performance. Great to work for a company that encourages career growth. You can move up quickly in the company if you're motivated and hit your sales goals. You are compensated sales and service bonus's when you reach your goals. Great benefits including medical, dental, vision etc. Paid vacation and sick days. Offer 401K plan. Great training. You generally meet and work with great people.

Cons

Pay could be better. Pressure to sale can be overwhelming at times. Sales goals can be difficult to obtain. Micro management often occurs. Company over emphasizes providing customer service. Certain managers fail to develop their team members. Work environment can be cut throat at times because of the aggression to achieve sales goals

Pros

The Vision and Values concept has a great foundation. The concept of truly helping customers' succeed financially is what kept me with WF for so long. They'res also great people within Wells Fargo, hidden but they are there.

Cons

This is where it gets tricky. Sales is a important balance for any company to remain profitable. We are surrounded by sales in society. WF does give the word "sale" a bad name though. With that being said, WF's District Leaders and Area Presidents are 2-3 years behind the curve in the retail world. They believe that by pressing for numbers to satisfy reports is reflection on team members doing what is right for customers. They are great about talking about the vision and values and using it as a shield when protecting themselves. There are times where a team member is not a right fit, however, WF always has a struggle with retention. If Wells invested in WOWing their team members rather then standing behind the flawed leadership and poorly executed Vision and Values they would have retained me, that stood up for the great tellers, bankers, and service managers. We did not hit our sales goals all the time but with did the best job we could and made a lot of customers happy.
