Pros

The benefits are great, working for Wells Fargo has helped me to realize a dream of owning my own home and has helped me to start saving for my retirement. Wells has now begun working with the boomers - offering us seminars on how to retire, how to network within the company, how to stay employed after retirement, balancing work and personal life etc. I only wish I had started working for them earlier in my life.

Cons

Sometimes communication of new policies and procedures is not well done, being a big company it is hard to make policies that work for everyone. However that is getting somewhat better.

Pros

Great benefits at Wells Fargo! There is plenty of room for advancement. I have met some amazing people while working for Wells Fargo, and they have become like my family. I feel like the support I receive from my peers and some of my supervisors is great. I love that I have the opportunity to try my hand at management. I love the compliance aspect of the bank. Following rules and regulations is key to making sure the bank runs smoothy. Working at Wells Fargo is like working with friends and family. I love how we are recognized when we perform well for the company. Overall, I think Wells Fargo is a great company to work for.

Cons

The sales aspect of the job is difficult. Sometimes the pressure gets to be too much. It is especially frustrating when you have a manager who can not filter the information coming from upper management. Every day, we are pushed harder and harder. It is never good enough. I wish that would change. I understand that they want to make money, however, management teams need better training in how to coach. Sometimes, sales are the only thing upper management cares about. Customer service and compliance are also very important in the banking business. We shouldn't be here for sales alone. I think we need to have a better balance.
