Pros

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Horrible account to work for

Lets start with the management. Never seen a management that is this dumb and useless. So many highly paid clowns at one place including test managers/project managers who know nothing. Absolutely clumsy and unfriendly management. When I say management it is the offshore management covering product engineering and product implementations. All the heads based out of chennai are over paid and dont know what they are doing. The funniest part is they keep loosely quoting apple, google, fb as if these guys started these companies. The management guys at offshore(Chennai) are not worth even designing a dustbin in any of these companies. They keep bragging about their past experiences which is so hilarious. There is no sense of direction, no grasp of domain. I think the product can just be run by onsite management who are much more knowledgeable and capable to turn this account around. Work environment: I dont mind working for a government firm or not working at all. The amount of hostility and nonsense that is prevalent is unimaginable. Even tenured resources are questioned and humiliated on working hours. The best part is there are one on one meetings around work timings. Absolutely nauseating and sickening work environment. BA Role: Well if the role was meaningful, we probably could have ignored all the above issues. Business Analysts are suppose to just analyze defects at offshore. All trivial defects which onsite BAs feel are not worth looking at are sent offshore. BAs are suppose to look at codes and scripts. Absurd and Bizarre. Management keeps saying sit with developers. I have never seen this funny guideline in any other organization. BAs are absolutely under utilized. Even major chunk of BAs at onsite end up doing defects. There is no alignment of BA team to the product vision. Just reactive tasks around defects dominates BA work. To add to this, product is supported by an OUTDATED TECHNOLOGY Last but not the least HR that is aligned to WGS. Never seen such toothless and ignorant HR. The number of employees that have left the organization and are still leaving is conveniently ignored. HR doesnt do anything about it. They were so many employees in the past who have left simply because they wanted to work in a different account. But neither the management nor the HR bothers to accomodate this. The policy here is either stay with WGS or leave. WGS is actually spoiling whatever little good the larger Wipro organization must be doing. Bottom line. DONT EVER JOIN THIS PLACE. U WILL REGRET IT EVERYDAY TILL YOU LEAVE.

Pros

Very good company to work with. Good process and Synergy portal is very good

Cons

Company have look at the Contract employee prospects as well. Those who have completed 4 or 5 yrs as contract employee should be observed at the right time and confirmed on full time. They are the one who do the hard work and making all the effort to show thier performance. Management is doing politics on this area

- Almost Guaranteed quarterly bonuses - Neat phone app to do time sheets

Cons

- Very, very poor salary, 1.7% increase in 4 years and they acted like they were doing me a favour. - The most minimal annual & sick leave allowed by UK law. - Indian company and Indian work values trying to map on to European work values. - Indian centric, European employees are treated as second class. - Assigned to a customer and left to rot. - Detached from Wipro as office is always at customer site. - No idea who the line manager is and no one to escalate problems and no one to measure my performance so salary increase did not exist. I had to hunt people down and voice my success the fight for bread crumb salary increases. - No real appraisal system, just a rubber stamp exercise for managers in India that I don't know. Good or bad the salary remains the same. - The only training was internal garbage that you had to complete annually. - Internal Wipro applications and systems slow and clunky. - Expense process from the dark ages that can take 3-4 weeks from claim approval to getting money in your account - Career Opportunities, good luck with that. - HR Management puppets that spout the party line, I could not trust them
