Benefits are pretty good, med center is a huge plus.

Cons

Recent leadership change has lost the golden rule. HR is more disorganized than any other department and full of persons who gossip. Tenure no longer matters at Worthington.

Takes care of executives and the rest of the employees are unimportant

Cafeteria is okay. Med center is convenient - albeit a little creepy to see your coworkers at the doctors office. Peers and plant people are some really nice people. However all these 5 star reviews on this site are from internal people who are told to post. Buyer beware.

Cons

Good old boys rule this place. Not open to ideas even though the transformation team tries. No place to grow a career. Profit Sharing is not transparent. you'll get 85 percent of your market salary as your salary, and the other 15 percent you give up to profit sharing - and then hope you get it and more. And if that profit sharing check comes to you, if you are not grateful, you get a mark on you that you are not embracing the philosophy.

We’re glad to hear you enjoy the convenience of our onsite Medical Center and cafeteria. Regarding profit sharing, we strongly believe that all employees are partners in the business. The profit sharing program is an extension of that belief. It helps foster the ownership mentality that makes our employees a world-class manufacturing team. The program allows employees to share in the profits they help produce with no cap. Although business conditions and overall economic conditions can impact profits and cause fluctuations, our total compensation remains at or above market.
