The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One in Nov 2010
Interview
First I have a 1:1 interview, it takes half an hour, one case, goes well, I get positive feedback right away. A week later I get a link to their personality test; I take it and despite being told there was a math test as well, the site tells me I'm finished with the application. HR and the director who were both previously in contact with me me gave me no feedback as to what happened despite me reaching out for an explanation. Quite a mysterious company.

Question 1
The case involved whether a franchise should adopt a marketing promotion.
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA) in Nov 2010
Interview
On site, there was a reception the night before. The employees were nice, but were obviously using the dinner for free food and a pregame and we ended up being there for over 3 hours. While this would have been fine in normal circumstances, I really wanted to get sleep and prep for the interview. Then the following day, I could barely understand my first interviewer and he gave me very little or incorrect feedback as I was going through the case. I feel that I was set up to perform poorly based the circumstances of the interview. Capital One should have more personable people who speak English clearly give the interviews because it does not reflect well on the company to have boring people who cannot communicate well and it is not fair to the interviewee.

Question 1
Case interviews that involve calculations....my interviewer kept asking if I was sure about my answer, which made me think I was wrong when in fact, I was right
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Nov 2010
Interview
The night before my interview day there was a reception for all those interviewing the next day. We met a bunch of previously new hires for drinks and to ask general questions. It was a pretty relaxed atmosphere although the people I talked to really stressed the idea that Cap1 was very much like college. This did not endear them to me, but it might for some.
On the actual interview day there were 3 interviews: 1 behavioral and 2 cases. Both cases were relatively straightforward although the first interviewer I had was rather inarticulate, so understanding what he wanted was a little difficult. However, this was one of my first case interviews. Generally were pretty prompt in responding and I heard back within 5 days.
