I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Capital One
Interview
Meet recruiter on campus and applied after. Got a first round interview that consisted of a case study. Very simple break even analysis and understand cause and effect. I have been invited to now travel to Richmond for a 2nd round of interviews and will edit this post after I complete that round
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Just know what makes up profit, how fix and variable costs interact with each other, and how to find the break even point
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Sep 2014
Interview
Applied online and was contacted 2 weeks later by a recruiter. She set up an on-sight visit to the Richmond Campus (which was amazing). I had 2 case interviews (since I didn't interview previously), 1 fit interview and 1 behavioral. Fit and behavioral interviews were cake, but prepare yourself for the case interview(s). The break-even math is the most crucial part.
Overall it was a great experience and EVERYONE was super friendly and accommodating. Definitely take the chance to interview if it comes up.

Question 1
The case details seem immaterial, as long as you know how to complete a break-even analysis. Show your work and verbally walk them through your thought-process.

Interview
Campus Recruiting - I was selected for an On-Campus interview. It was a traditional case interview that was more quantitative than most case interviews. I had a very difficult time understanding the interviewer and his questions which was frustrating, other than that it was a good experience. Capital One did hold a orientation session the day before the interview which was somewhat helpful but I would suggest practicing cases with colleagues or yourself to best prepare.

Question 1
Very quantitative case that included profit/loss calculation
