I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Capital One (New York, NY) in Feb 2025
Interview
Initial phone screen with recruiter, followed by a 1 hour portfolio review with a design manager. Last round was a virtual power day meeting with different team members but I didn't make it to that round. After my portfolio review the recruiter reached out within 24 hours saying they wanted to move me forward for final round, and then essentially ghosted for weeks because they didn't have a specific team ready to hire. The process seems disjointed and they lead candidates on/waste their time. After following up over the course of months, they kept telling me they were super interested in me but didn't have the right position open yet and never reached back out about my final round. Overall came across as sort of unprofessional/unorganized.

Question 1
How familiar are you with some of the requirements for this role?
Almost a 3 month process. I wouldn't recommend continuing to Power Day unless you're ready for the time investment it will take to prepare. Also keep in mind they put a lot of weight towards the quant questions
