Deel interview questions

Interviews were quick and pleasant, after 2 initial interviews I was asked to do a home assignment which was planning an event from start to finish, as well as providing a strategic approach for pre-event and post-event process. They asked for this assignment to be completed within 48 hours, which was a quick turnaround. After working late and spending time to complete the project presentation (during travel for an event for my current employer), I didn’t hear back for over a week. It was discouraging to put so much effort into trying to quickly turnaround their “home assignment”, to not hear back from them until over a week later, only to hear that they sent the job offer to another candidate. I feel if they were already at final stages with another candidate, they should have not asked me to spend time on completing a project for my interview process. Not to mention to share my expertise at risk of not being offered the position. But the turn around time of submitting my presentation to then Deel sending an offer to another candidate was too quick and feels they are not considerate of your time.
