Pros: The initial stages of the interview process were well-organised and straightforward. Communication from the recruitment team was prompt in scheduling interviews and providing details about the process. Cons: The third-round interview, which involved a scenario-based presentation, was poorly handled. One of the interviewers adopted an unnecessarily aggressive approach, asking overly challenging questions and continuing to push when I struggled to answer. When I pushed back to clarify their intentions, I was told this was a test to see how I’d handle pressure. This approach felt unprofessional and left me feeling uncomfortable and devalued. The experience completely soured my perception of the company and its culture. Advice to Management: While it’s reasonable to test candidates’ ability to handle pressure, it’s crucial to ensure the environment remains professional and supportive. Creating an unnecessarily stressful atmosphere during interviews risks alienating strong candidates and harming the company’s reputation. A more constructive approach would be to assess skills and reactions in a fair and collaborative way rather than through aggressive questioning.
