I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Oct 2015
Interview
Received an email from EPIC the day after an on campus career fair. Sent in my resume and then received an email about doing a phone interview within a week. The phone interview was very casual and was more focused on questions that I had about the company. A few questions about resume, whether I wanted to travel, where did I see myself in five years etc. They gave a great explanation about the position as well. Later that day I got an email about scheduling a skills assessment. It consisted of two parts and was proctored online. It was a little tricky but only because my exposure to coding/programing was a couple of years ago. I then got an email that said I will be contacted about the next step in a couple of weeks. I am still waiting on that email.

Interview
Applied at a University Career fair and heard back within 2 weeks that they wanted a phone interview. It was a very fast turn-around. They have you talk to an actual employee instead of HR which was nice because I was able to make a connection on what latest project they were working on and the phone interview was pretty straightforward from there. Just basic questions about the resume and then they spend the last bit of time talking about Epic itself and if you are willing to relocate to Madison. Just got an email about taking the skills assessment.

Do a quick 30 min phone interview, easy questions about logistics and availability
Then do an online assessment, very difficult with coding examples, said you don't have to be good at coding but have to have a knowledge of how to set up a code to run a simulation of what they are asking. There was also a personality fit test that wasn't difficult.
