I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Aug 2015
Interview
I received a phone interview an Epic employee who was not from HR. It is said to last for 30 minutes, but mine ran for 45 minutes. This was not a technical interview. The interviewer first gave an explanation of the job and the tasks before the questioning started. I was asked the usual questions such as what do you know about Epic?, why Epic?, tell me about yourself, can you tell me more than what's already on your resume?, what programming experience do you have?
I applied for this job knowing that I had no programming skills, but the ad post said that it was not an absolute job qualification. I was told that I would have to answer a Rembrant personality test and a technical aptitude test. That test was hard for someone without any programming skills. After the test, I received my rejection letter.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Sep 2015
Interview
I got a phone interview after applying online. I spoke with a current Epic employee, who basically screened me and then sent me back to HR. After, I was required to take a technical learning assessment. It had me answer some logic questions and tested me to see how well I could learn a new language that I wasn't familiar with. I then got an onsite interview. I have yet to have the interview but so far everything has been fast paced and seemed to go well. Epic is definitely collected and put together when hiring new employees.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Epic (Saint Louis, MO) in Sep 2015
Interview
I applied on line and heard back from a recruiter in about a day. I have a behavioral phone schedule and if that goes well I will take an online monitored exam. I was advised to research brain teasers and to know as much information about epic from their website as possible. Phone interview is supposed to be pretty standard about getting to know you and why you are interested in the position.
