I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Boston, MA) in Feb 2019
Interview
I was flown out to an interview event and had to go through powerpoints with a mix of technical and business analyst candidates. Nothing about the hiring process is noteworthy other than the company's recruiters throwing buzzwords at you, trying to get you interested in the company's vision and product. They try to sell the job as being amazing when it's a thin veiled entry level consultant position with the expectations of an intermediate-skill employee. Nothing about the hiring process is technical other than the online coding challenge they had you do. I was persuaded more about why I don't want to work for the company when it's supposed to be the other way around, with the marketing buzzword talks, the interviewers only caring about marketing skills (not business or technical), and the lack of transparency about the position.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Chapel Hill, NC) in Sep 2017
Interview
Easy and quick process. Since my interview and hiring, the process has changed quite a bit. In addition, many campuses and universities have exiled IBM since many first year consultants were let go within one year of being hired. Case and Behavioral Interviews.
