I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at KPMG (Atlanta, GA) in Nov 2011
Interview
On campus interviews were a breeze. Generally you've met all the partners and managers whom will be interviewing, so you already know each other.
The office visits were fun as well. You can expect to stay at a super nice hotel with all meals included. You'll spend one entire day at the office interviewing with 3 or 4 members of upper management.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at KPMG (Short Hills, NJ) in May 2013
Interview
very little technical topics. mostly about backgrounds and experience as student. Will go over your resume with you line by line and ask about how prior employment even if unrelated will help you in the role you are applying for. Interviewers are usually pretty outgoing and friendly. Tend to go off topic eventually. Talked a lot about sports and fantasy football in my interview.
