I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Lloyds Banking Group (London, England) in Apr 2023
Interview
DON'T APPLY FOR THIS, APPLY FOR THEIR REAL POSITIONS, AS THE DIFFICULTY LEVEL OF THE INTERVIEW IS THE SAME. Short Version: Expecting google level applicants but paying them in peanuts + rotation to another location every 8 months. I've applied in January 2023. I received my assessment centre day invitation in April. The process was low difficulty until the assessment centre day. At the assessment centre, you are going to have about 7 hours worth of interviews with about 7 people. I did not find that part difficult even though besides a group exercise you will have a 3 round interview all contained within the same hour with 3 different people and scenarios. What I found outrageous was the skill based interview. It's a one-hour exercise containing two parts, an exercise and competency based questions directly linked to your skills. In the exercise part of the skill based interview, you are tasked to create a solution for a problem. This includes code, architecture design and making sure that it would link well with their systems with no prior knowledge, you have to ask the right questions. The difficult part of the exercise is the fact that you have ONLY 30 minutes to complete it. They expect a full working solution, an overview of the architecture design and making sure you link it well to their systems with clean code and tests, all within 30 minutes. The algorithm necessary for the exercise was not too difficult, however the catch of it is how you handle data that deviates from normal, and that is what they're mostly looking for. And to top it all off, at the end of the assessment centre they had to mention that they have forgotten to advertise their new placement system in which you have to rotate EVERY 8 months throughout the UK.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time when you overcame challenges within a group, interpersonal ones too. Answer all using STAR. If you have 4–5 situations in your head about difficult times throughout previous employment/university, you will be able to answer them easily.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Lloyds Banking Group (Birmingham, England) in Oct 2019
Interview
Ok some challenging lengthy questions to answer followed by a test. But you can ask them again and write down the sections. I wished that experience would be factored in its just a point scoring exercise.
