I applied through a recruiter. The process took 10 months. I interviewed at US Air Force (Raleigh, NC) in Feb 2011
Interview
There's not really an interview process. Just find a recruiter and do what he says. The whole process takes at least several months. It could take longer if you have any medical issues or criminal issues, or if you took too many drugs. Good luck if you're interested. It's a good gig.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at US Air Force (Tampa, FL) in Sep 2011
Interview
No formal interview process. First you take the ASVAB test, talk to recruiter for assistance and entry paperwork. After that you will go to MEPS to be processed and pick a job. Shortly after you will receive enlistment date. Show up at the airport with your government paid ticket and fly to basic training.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at US Air Force (Barksdale AFB, LA) in Nov 2012
Interview
Unorganized, interviewer had not clue what to ask, was unsure of what the job entailed. Was more interested in dress and appearance. Did not seem to care about job knowledge or work performance. Interviewer would constantly answer there cell phone during interview. When asked about job, he just talked about "how the job was you know... um some of this and that and the guy your replacing will tell you".
