Went through the online tests and got offered to come in for an interview. In the interview there were about 5 of us and we all had to complete a task in 30 minutes then make a presentation. The task was simple and it was all based on reading customers feedback and making solutions for the problems brought up by customers. There where two people in watching us and making notes. After this we all waited in the cafeteria and we're called in twos for our one-to-one interviews which were an additional 30 mins. Overall the whole thing took just under 2 hours.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
give an example of when you had to adapt to change?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Waitrose in Dec 2017
Interview
Applied online - loads of questionnaires and background etc. Asked for interview within 3 days in Finchley and told we would hear back within 3 weeks however I was called within 3 days telling me I’d got the job!
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Waitrose (Buxton, East Midlands, England) in Feb 2018
Interview
2 hour long application with different rounds of customer service questions. You must pass a round to move onto the next. Common sense questions but you may find it difficult if you haven’t worked in a highly customer service based job before.
Group interview - we were given different things to read (mine was a customer review with ratings from poor to good) and as a team you must discuss what the customers have said and choose 3 key areas that need to be worked on and make an action plan e.g customer service, team communication...
You have about 5 minutes to do this so make sure you speak up because the interviewer can only mark you on what you contribute. Make sure to come across as a team player (put your point across but make sure to listen and discuss what others think/say)
1 on 1 interview is 3 questions and then just personal things like how much notice you need to give & any holidays you need etc
I advise to go through the questions on here and prepare answers to questions before hand so you don’t get caught off guard and have questions prepared to ask at the end of your interview because they love that!
