I applied online. I interviewed at Walgreens in Apr 2013
Interview
Applied online, about a week later was called by the manager for an interview like a week and some days later. She informed me that I should finish the 2nd step in store before the day of the interview. In the interview she read off this paper, basically questions about how you handle certain situations like conflicts, helped someone, trained someone. I have no job experience so I used school experiences.
After the questions she had me do step 3 of the online application that asks you to consent to a background check and drug test and items to bring if you were offered a job. Then she told me about the position, the hours and stuff. Then I was handed a drug test form and was told I'd have to do it within the next 24 hours. I asked when I'd hear back about the position and she said to give it a week. 4 days later I got a call from one of the other managers (I think) offering me the job! So I guess the drug test form is a good sign when you go to the interview.

I applied in-person. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Walgreens (Yuma, AZ) in Sep 2012
Interview
Did a ~40 min-1 hour online application in mid August. About a month later I received a call from the store manager saying that there were no vacancies at the store I had applied to but that there was an opening at a different store in town and that they were very interested that I set up a date for an interview with them. After the interview, they said that I was a great candidate and that they would call back for more information on when I should start, but they never called back.

Question 1
I don't believe there were any unexpected or difficult questions during my interview; my experience was more of them getting to know myself and asked much about my school experiences and extra curricular activities.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Walgreens (Deerfield, IL)
Interview
I was initially contacted by a recruiter from Human Resources after they came across my online resume submission for an available Senior Financial Analyst position. I was asked a series of pre-screening questions to see if I would be a good fit for the role, and then informed that I would hear back in a week or two if I was still being considered as a candidate for the opportunity.
About one week later, I received a follow-up call asking if I would be available for a second phone interview with the hiring manager. We set up a call and I spoke with the hiring manager about two days later. He asked about my background, and then asked a number of job-specific questions (i.e. familiarity with financial models, financial analysis, etc.). After the call, I was informed that I would hear back in the next few days regarding my continued candidacy for the position regardless of the decision.
Another week passed before I received a follow-up call, but I was then asked to come on-site for a series of 1-on-1 interviews with 2 managers and the hiring director. Each interview lasted about 30 minutes, and afterwards I was informed that I would hear back in a couple of days once the managers and the director had a chance to discuss how each interview went.
Finally, after another week of waiting, Walgreens asked if I could provide a list of references. They asked for at least three individuals they could contact, and then proceeded to email them a questionnaire about our work history together. After a few more days, the initial recruiter called back and informed me that Walgreens would be extending an offer of employment to me.

Question 1
I was asked what key metrics on a Profit and Loss statement I would regard as most important if Walgreens were considering expanding certain retail locations into the refrigerated goods, fruits, vegetables, and bakery retail space.
