Pros

Pay is just about the only good thing about this company.

Cons

Was promoted to Assistant Store Manager after 4 years of busting my butt and then was put in position to choose between my weekends with my son and my position. When I chose my son they knocked me all the way back down to associate and treated me like I did not know anything after 5 years of experience in the company and then hide behind "equality". If you do not put this company as first and sacrifice your family life than you will not move up. Plain and simple. If you have a strong work ethic, don't waste your time. I busted my butt for this company and sacrificed time with my son for this company trying to work with them but they demanded my full time regardless of if I had my son or not. All I was asking for was every other weekend off to spend with my son but they would not work with me. Even when I told them that I would work the morning truck while he slept, that was not good enough for them. They wanted me from 6am to 2pm and would give me days off during the week but refused to give me the weekends with my son.

Pros

Benefits are okay and you're guaranteed a daily workout. Corporate wants a culture. It could be a great company if they implemented structured systems to provide training to new hires.

Cons

Complete lack of proper training. They have a training guide, it's basically: be a casheir/ be a key holder/ be an inventory manager/ do the books. You need to teach yourself without having access to the SOP for each. You learn by them telling you what you did wrong rather than setting you up for success. You are timed on everything you do. You get 20 minutes to unload a 8 foot high freezer pallet; you need to scan 45 items per minute and have less than 5 seconds between guests. This would be fine if you were taught how to achieve these goals. You must know every aspect of the job even if it hasn't been communicated.
