Pros

Colleagues fantastic, supportive store manager, plenty of overtime, excellent training opportunities if you want to progress. Brilliant benefits and incentives for bonuses.

Cons

New fresh restructure is leaving Section Leaders stressed, wanting more out of us but offering no support or extra bodies. Departments not given enough hours and it feels like we're up against unachievable targets. Manager can't increase hours as his hands are tied over wages. Not enough praise when you're doing well. Left short and told you're not allowed to be stressed out as it affects morale! Area Managers need to be having 1-2-1's with section leaders and offering support. More and more colleagues discussing leaving or stepping down. I regret stepping up. I used to love my job, now, not so much.

Pros

tax/child tax credits as such low wages, always meeting new people as such a high turn around of drivers

Cons

no breaks, impossible timings to keep to , short staffed, over worked , compulsary over time, "punishments" for not doing overtime , or driving unsafe vans such as messed up holiday pay and wages for not obeying , illegal 14 hour driving/delivering overtime sickness shifts , and 9 hour breaks between shifts ,low intelligence of manager of department not comprehending rush hour traffic in towns means you cannot do 6 deliveries in an hour !!! massive turn around of drivers, new faces every week. lying to customers constantly , as advised by manager as to why shopping missing , incomplete , damaged , rat dodging on return at night . i wouldnt eat food from asda if it was free !!
