Pros

Good benefits, adequate pay, resume booster.

Cons

Managers who care about people are demoted while managers who are uncaring, rude, and set unreasonable expectations are promoted. There's no company culture except producing results. Everything is automated so you don't learn how the technology works. I felt like a robot doing the same thing day in and day out. Also, they hire disproportionately young men, and women were not being promoted to management. In theory, AWS is pro-diversity, however in practice, individuals are blatantly homophobic.

Cons

- Team expects new hires to be proactive in learning - Shift work, work never ends - Work is mostly done alone - Many kinds of jobs in the same role
