Pros

Fast growing company. Great people to work with.

Cons

No room to grow. More and more responsibilities added to job. Salary increase barely enough to cover inflation. No appreciation from managers on hard work and additional work.

Thanks for leaving a review. With Softbank's acquisition of ARM, we are growing at an even faster pace than before, hiring across all functions and departments. New teams and structures are coming in, with opportunities for current employees to move to a new challenge within the company. Regarding salary increases, the majority of reviews in the company are considered 'High Performing' which means the salary increase will always be above annual inflation rate. If you've 'Exceeded Expectations', the salary increase will be higher, along with the bonus payout. It's an exciting time to be at ARM, and since you did leave a positive outlook of the company, we do hope that you will reconsider coming back to ARM in the future! -Rick C. Social Recruiting Manager

Pros

Salary slightly higher than average for role. Sabbatical every four years very good. Holiday entitlement good. Nice casual dress policy.

Cons

Hard to understand grading system especially for lower grade roles. Very limited opportunity to move up grades without changing to a really different role. Little flexibility of working hours.Bonus and RSU's much lower than in past years. Internal communications within teams poor.

Thanks for leaving a review, as well as your over 10 years of service to ARM! ARM's success is due in part to employees like yourself who have helped shape the company to where it is today. Regarding internal grade descriptions, this is transparent and published to all colleagues, which can be found by doing a search for "Grade Level" in the company intranet. Employees do move up in grade without a change in role, but skill development is required to advance. This is gained through on-the-job experiences and individual initiative. In addition, formal learning sessions are available around career advancement and career aspirations are an encouraged topic of discussion between individuals and managers. I would recommend taking a look at the Talent Development portal on the intranet for more information. Personally speaking as well as with many others in the business, most everyone agrees that working hours are quite flexible, as we place a lot of trust in the employees to finish their work. If you do not feel this is the case, I would suggest having more frequent communication with your line manager, as ultimately, it is up to him/her to decide, though with increased communication comes trust between both parties. On RSU's, award levels have not declined compared to years past. The bonus structure mirrors ARM’s position as a growth company. If you are referring to the actual stock price, that is something that is out of our control, though it has consistently increased year over year. Please do ask your People Team Business Partner if you have more questions, as we are here to help! -Rick C. Social Recruiting Manager

Good for learning, bad for facilities

Pros

ARM knowledge is currently very much valued in the industry and ARM is the place to be when it comes to learning today's digital architecture. Work life balance is good

Cons

Employee facilities are very poor and the office premises has hardly any infrastructure. There were promises of cricket ground, tennis court , good food options and centralized transport for employee commute when there was a move to the new office , but none of them seem to have been undertaken ever after 2 1/2 years. Office cabs that are provided seem to be mega expensive where as in many companies company transport is free of cost!
