Pros

Great place to learn technology and consulting skills fast. This company provides a solid base of skills for future opportunities.

Cons

Growth opportunities can be limited unless a employee is lucky enough to be on a large project. Staff augmentation roles can hinder advancement within the company. Company is quick to layoff lower level resources during a downturn.

Pros

The good: microsoft technology, benefits, competitive salaries in peridos boom. The opportunity to work with Accenture and Microsoft as an external collaborator or incorporated into the template of one of them (requires leaving the company because they have signed non-aggression agreements).

Cons

Avanade is a good company to start work, if there is no experience profesional.Un good place to start as a consultant or developer in Microsoft technologies, although it is true that such experiences do not provide the group itself but are obtained through collaboration or the work undertaken with Accenture and Microsoft. The main business of the Spanish subsidiary, is to transfer staff to the aforementioned companies (commonly known as bodyshopping) The Spanish subsidiary has nothing to do with the work done at Corp, which is considered by all pretty good and professional. The business model of the company is based on reactive management, the bulk of profits are derived from projects that Accenture yields and the remainder of the assignment of consultants to Microsoft. For this reason, show little competitive with experienced partners, as there is any initiative to generate business because everything is already given. Their fees are too high for the level of work they can develop, so in periods of "crisis" can not withstand the pull and fired indiscriminately. The support of this model is a hierarchical pyramid which, curiously, has a rather low vertex, the number of commercials, managers and presales is below desired levels in a company that tries or be sold in Spain's leading technology projects rarely Microsoft.En lead projects, staying in the background after their big sponsors and when they do they are small-scale projects, so they lack the experience to work for themselves in large accounts. The working environment is very sterile and offices are very small. The project development is based on the lack of planning and technical approval of tenders. 90% of their own projects "Avanade is executed on the basis of hours extra unpaid or compensated" from consultants or developers. Account Managers and Directors inefficient and affluent business model more like a consultant than an ETT, lack of vision and market strategy (this year have raised rates to their customers so unreasonable, why no projects have left many of the employees who were fired after), no career, professional work environment and not too friendly if you work on proprietary projects. The higher the position you hold, the worse your reception, because the lack of professionalism is defended tooth and nail. Indifference will be the reward of lower levels. Let every man lay in the balance their interests and decide for yourself.

Pros

Very few pros. The $2000 annual stipend is still in place…for now.

Cons

Avanade is increasingly becoming indistinguishable from Accenture in the worst possible ways. On top of that, leadership waited far too long to push out senior executives who tanked the business and instead have performed rolling mass layoffs disguised as performance / bench issues. Sales incentive programs change each year while the business is trying to penetrate a new segment of customers while not addressing cost issues internally. This makes it incredibly hard to succeed while us sellers continue to bear the responsibility of the business not growing.
