Pros

Great retail environment to work in. The company provides great benefits for anyone that takes the time to seek them out including health benefits, stock purchase plans, 401K, vacation for full time employees, and tuition reimbursement to name a few. Each store can provide a different experience based on the leadership team but for the most part you'll find yourself in a great work environment. The company as a whole is dedicated to improving the business and addressing areas of opportunity to ensure long term success.

Cons

No major cons, it's a big box retail company that is still able to present a good overall employee experience at any level. Internal promotions generally do not garner the same salary as someone that is coming from the outside which can be frustrating for someone looking to grow long term with the company. Holidays don't exist anymore working here either. They stay open for every major holiday except Easter and Christmas and expect everyone to be able to work on the other holidays.

Pros

Upper management cares about company culture: frequent department-wide events

Cons

The same upper management doesn't want to spend on employees. So many things you have to pay out of pocket..... for example you have to pay extended health benefits out of your pocket. WTF????? I guess they don't understand what the word benefit means. Note you still pay for this every paycheck even if you don't use your benefits..... And that's not all. All the things they advertise as "perks" in the job posting, you have to pay for. Coffee? You pay for it. On-site gym? You pay for it (why even have it on-site at this point is beyond me). Compensation? Below market. Sick days? You only get 60% of your salary. On top of that, 80% of current workforce consists of incompetent software engineers. As a result, features will take months to go out and codebase is complete shi!t. There are so many better companies out there... don't make the same mistake as I did and go elsewhere.

Pros

The work is really fun

Cons

They fire employees very quickly and sometimes for no real reason whatsoever. They do not value company loyalty.
