Thank you for taking the time to write a review. At Bitpanda, we always strive to create an environment that gives our employees the chance to create their own path with strong guidance from team leaders and other team members as support. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with us was different than we would have both hoped. As a result of our hypergrowth, you were placed in a new team which was without a dedicated, on-the-ground leader. We can imagine that was frustrating, despite our best attempts from senior team members to support your onboarding. We acknowledge that team leaders absolutely need to be in place to offer that much-needed guidance, and going forward, we have already taken steps to make sure that this is implemented for the future. Although we’re sad to see that you’ve left, we hope the above has addressed your concerns and please know that we are always open to receive further feedback, just reach out to us at peopleteam@bitpanda.com. We wish you future success in your next adventure. Best, Sarah

Pros

The company is pretty young, this means everything is evolving and you might contribute to this evolution more actively than in an already consolidated company.

Cons

Ironically, for been in the crypto market they are terribly bad at financial planning which is reflected on the last months and massive people layoffs they had. They announced in the Town Hall on May 22 that the only KPI close to the target was headcount and not revenue, reasoning that they were financially stable and that the company was now in a position to start building a stronger organisation. Shortly after, on June 22, they changed the plot and said they had to downsize and remove more than 30% of the people. Everything was so badly planned that they did not even know who was leaving in some countries, which put many people in limbo for several days. At the end of this experience, the board only said that there are companies in the USA that have handled the situation worse. Basically, "be thankful of what we did with you".

Hi Panda — Over the past few months, multiple factors have caused massive uncertainty in the financial markets. As we watched the world events and market conditions intently, hopeful for a turnaround, unfortunately, it proved that we had to move fast and scale down our organisation to make sure we remain a financially healthy company, able to stay true to our mission. Because we strongly believe in having a fully open, honest and transparent environment, we wish our communication about this could have been more personalised. However, regrettably, this was not possible due to different local jurisdictions and strict legal restrictions. At Bitpanda, we’re immensely proud of the incredible work that our Pandas have done (and continue to do!) to make investing accessible to everyone. We value everyone onboard our rocketship and always want them to feel comfortable speaking openly and honestly about what’s working well and where we need to improve. This is why we regularly hold a completely anonymous Employee Voice Survey and encourage our Pandas to reach out to our dedicated People Team at peopleteam@bitpanda.com should they need further help or support. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. We look forward to keep evolving and growing together!
