      Pros

      Open culture from leadership. Very flexible in terms of work/life balance. Friendly culture across business. Genuinely enjoy my job and working at Bitpanda.

      Cons

      At times, leadership very busy and thus difficult to get information required in timely manner. Not all promised benefits being introduced, slightly disappointing.

      Great company, growing in a fast-paced sector, with very flexible working

      Pros

      I've worked for or with a number of FinTechs like Revolut, Wise, WorldRemit and although great companies, none have truly matched up to Bitpanda. The product is diverse (B2B, B2, B2B2C), the leadership are seasoned pros and for once it's a very profitable company that doesn't need to go cap in hand to stay solvent. The work life balance is great, very flexible and we can work 60 days a year abroad (skiing for me) and that doesn't include the unlimited holidays. Ultimately it is a start up though and most people can't hack the pace or the market uncertainty but personally I think the rollercoaster is a great ride.

      Cons

      Being an Austrian company the salaries do struggle to compete with certain countries (UK mainly) but it's not a huge gap. Ultimately, it's about the experience and the equity and both boxes are ticked in my opinion but if you want a big base and bonus, stick to banking.

We know that the recent news has come as a shock to many. The current extent of the market situation was also surprising for us and was impossible to fully predict. Unfortunately, this meant we’ve had to move fast with a one-time-only reduction to our team. This tough call was taken to ensure we can navigate this storm as a financially healthy company and stay true to our mission of making investing accessible to everyone. At Bitpanda, we’re committed to creating a working environment that is always open, honest and fully transparent. That’s why we wish our communication about this one-off scale-down could have been more personal, with no questions remaining open. Regrettably, this was not possible due to the different local jurisdictions and strict legal restrictions. Understandably, seeing so many talented team members having to leave is difficult.
