Pros

Good infrastructure. Diverse people. Good range of food but still not much for vegetarians.

Cons

Less work, more red tape and jargon. Too many and not so smart managers. No CTO since the last one year and thus no tech vision or direction. Code base is managed very bad and its getting worse.

Pros

A lot of talk on wanting to improve the place

Cons

No actions on the real problems Internal communication is lacking Underinvestment in a lot of key projects Too much focus on getting more bookings, not building tools to support any of it

Hi and thanks for your review, although I am clearly disappointed by your rating and comments. We do actually listen to our colleagues all the time. Yes we have our annual survey, by tools like this one Glassdoor, provide consistent feedback, we have Workplace which is a very vibrant communication tool and we get plenty of feedback on there. As you'll know we do all colleague updates 4 times a year with a Q&A that I would argue is very public and we certainly don't hide from any questions. I completely agree that if an issue is raised it's an issue for that individual and we are very keen to keep making BookingGo an even better place to work. It is true that we are focussed on getting bookings as that is how we generate profit which then allows us to invest in our people and future product developments. We are not a tech company that burns cash in the hope of future profits. We are a successful, profitable business that is growing significantly. That's not a bad combination of outcomes. Thanks again for your feedback - Ryan

Rideways or Rides is a total chaos, don’t work there

Pros

- Colleagues - Many of my colleagues were wonderful, loved working with pretty much everyone - Salary wasn’t too bad, could be better of course - Decent benefits - sick pay, pension, perkbox, discount on car rental and transfers, inexpensive lunch, good office facilities, central location

Cons

Terrible and I really mean terrible leadership. It’s like from an American sitcom - Rideways leadership and ‘strategy’ was a mess. When I was working there, the strategy was changing almost every week. Projects were constantly being started, then stopped, then restarted, then canceled, then restarted, then paused and I can go on and on. At the end nothing ever got done and even when it did, it was of a really bad quality because of a lack of strategy and vision. Also leadership team’s attitude and lack of appreciation for people was appaling, people were scared to speak out. The Rideways brand has a good potential but it needs a good leader... or at least a better one than what they have. In my exit interview I told HR about all the misconducts I’ve encountered, it was a total absurd! Shame for the many good people who left

Hi and thanks for your feedback it really is appreciated as was your exit interview feedback (I don't know who you are but I do know we've spoken to everyone who has left Rides so thank you). I think it would be fair to say we've had some clear feedback from the Rideways team that we have already started working on. I'm not sure when you left but we have already restructured the team to address some of the concerns. What I would say though is that most of the pain being felt at the moment is due to the amazing success of the concept and the Rideways brand. Last week alone it crossed a major bookings record and is currently growing at ~300% yoy. That is an amazing business to be part of. Yes that presents some challenges as the team has gown x2 at least each year since I joined 3 years ago. It is also on the frontline of our integration with Booking.com (the 3rd largest ecommerce business in the planet) and we have just announced a $500 million investment and partnership with Didi! So to be fair we have had some challenges but we are listening and listening hard, we are growing the team as fast as we can and the future potential is enormous!! As Sheryl Sandberg said in her book Lean In - if you get the chance to ride a rocket, don't worry about which seat you're in just get on the rocket! I wish you well for the future and hope you have found another rocket to get on board thanks Ryan
