Pros

- Long-haul staff travel benefits are decent, but not as flexible/economical as Virgin/easyJet (short-haul benefits limited) - Good work life balance, generally not expected to work that late

Cons

- Extremely old mindset regarding working culture, people, systems, strategies - Zero collaboration between Commercial teams (marketing, digital, sales, revenue). No-one talks to each other and when you try, you receive no response. The entire company needs to encourage and facilitate this (it's standard amongst all other companies and airlines!). How can marketing make decisions without revenue input?? - Management claim to be 'forward-thinking' but it's a show to keep you quiet. Most are just 'yes-men' and aren't able to stand up for themselves and to senior management - Low levels on working flexibility. Limited working from home options, and unwilling to compromise with staff or be amenable to individual situations - Although salaries were improved, still are below what competition is offering - Management don't credit or validate staff enough/at all, no matter how much time/work you put in, and becomes very unmotivating - Department is completely unwilling to take on new ideas, always claiming that 'it has been tried before' (probably 10 years ago!) - Management become very unfriendly when you leave (re: logistics and references) - They give you an apparent sense of ownership, but the reality is fairly dictatorial - Poor diversity: Senior management remains old/white, although very early signs of improvement showing in lower level management

Pros

No pros other than staff travel which is good if there are any seats available. Oh yes you get free tea or coffee once in a blue moon if they think we’ve worked extremely hard which takes up 15 mins of your 30 min break as you need to go to the canteen to get one.

Cons

Worst company to work for. Basic pay, stacking shelves in a supermarket pays more. No value for staff, just a number. No work life balance. They muck up your rosters and payslip in a way that you just give up emailing them after 5-6 times. Make you stand all day on your 9 or 10 hr shift. The feeling mutual for all BA staff. No EMPATHY towards staff, all they care is their profit. Speak to any BA staff and they will tell you.
