Minimal salary and Micromanagment and everything else actually.
I lasted 4 days there and that was more than enough.
It was work from home.
Training was "oh my god", first thing that they said to us is that the web cams must be turned on all the time. If you turn of camera just to sneeze or something, msg would arrive in chat and it would say "turn on your camera" or "why did you turn your camera off?" If you would say that you need to go to the toilet, the answer was "try to keep it till break". In training call, there was always manager present and he would check how is our body language and if the cameras are on. We were not able to turn off cameras even when we were reading modules. It's difficult to me to stair at the computer and concentrate on reading something when 25 people are watching me.
Manager said to us that our body language looks like we received some bad news because we were looking serious. I was just reading modules.
After first two days they explained the work. So, calls , web forms, chat, social network..these are the channels that we were supposed to handle. 1 minute after call. No personal time, you're allowed to go to the toilet only on your breaks. If you have to go, just try to keep it till break. Shifts are rotational, from 6am to 9pm, weekends included.
I worked from home for different companies (much bigger than Capita) for ages now, and it was never like this. Minimal salary btw.
I couldn't stand this torture anymore, I was under stress all the time and I quit via email.
I didn't get any reply at all.
My advice is, don't even apply. You’ll feel much better.
