Pros

- Access to prestigious Companies i.e Bank of England - You are no longer tied into a contract where you have to repay any 'fees'. This would honestly be horrific considering their only expense would be giving you access to O'rielly as far as a i can tell and the salaries of the trainers. Who i suspect are ex estate agents given their propensity to up sell you some 'fantastic job roles' that 'you be lucky to get'.

Cons

You are more likely to be offered jobs at Rentokill, Perfume shop etc. You are pressured to apply to all job roles, at any location in the country. Hence you will not be fulfilling your obligations if you're not willing to relocate across the country to a less than stellar sounding job appointment. The training is inadequate, and more emphasis is placed on interview soft skills rather than project management or business analysis. This is to ensure you pass the interview with their clients so i assume they meet their quotas. You would be just as capable of completing the jobs advertised without the training provided whilst learning on the role, given how bad the training is. We were assessed on our progress by way of self assessed tests in the first fortnight of training. Half of this first fortnight was interview soft skills. You will not receive any qualifications until you have started a paid contract and generated Capita revenue for 6 months!! At which point you will receive a voucher to go and complete the exams in your own time. Its not that they wont tell you this explicitly if you ask, but they will avoid outright saying it unless asked. In short i think this is another graduate job opportunity that relies on the naivety of new graduates not appreciating their worth. You will not be 'lucky' to be on this course and should not be grateful, you do not need to 'bridge the gap between learning and employment' you already have these skills. Capita simply want to profit off of you.

Pros

UK / clients people are good,

Cons

India teams are managed by incompetent managers. Capita UK has laid down all correct and relevant policies. However, Indian managers who come from bad culture companies cause harm to the Capita India. There are projects where there is no proper KT. Framework used was internal, hence proper KT was required. Incompetent manager give KT responsibilities to junior team members like QA (newly converted as BA). QAs or BAs do not have any skills related to the project other than being beautiful and having bad attitude (arrogance). Being favorites of BU head or seniors, their words count. Based on their words skilled techies are asked to leave. HR managers are like puppets in the hands of BU heads. This is very very common. Happened to a lot of people that I know. When I joined this project, I started to look for opportunities outside Capita as I had these information beforehand. I am writing this review now because some current employees are going through the same ordeal. Even tenured (2+ yrs) employees in Capita had been put in PIP. Good employees are put in PIP on recommendations of incompetent junior members. I am sure these guys will have very hard times looking for jobs outside due to Covid situations. Managers will ensure that good people fail PIP as had happened on earlier occasions. Managers are not able to engage these good employees due to their incompetency. And in order to hide their failures, these managers play with the careers of good technical employees. Now, these things are not known to UK people. Its the managers here who play politics.

Pros

Given access to pluralsight and O'reilly

Cons

The novus graduate programme is more of a recruitment consultancy if anything. you are accepted and put in training. But don't get a salary until you are placed within a company. in training, you receive £100 per week and can last up to 16 weeks (even longer from others i spoke to). Training has little training involved. You can sit there and no one will say anything. You are basically sitting in a room teaching yourself for the most part of it. No real guidance involved. Good role if you want to sit there but if you actually want to make something of your career. Then you have to push yourself as there is no support from others.
