Pros

Cisco has a lot of experienced, highly capable people with deep institutional knowledge. You’re surrounded by teammates and leaders who have seen a lot, and there’s a real opportunity to learn best practices in strategy, execution, and cross-functional collaboration. The company also provides a stable environment, strong brand, and generally supportive teams.

Cons

The biggest downside is the amount of red tape. Decision-making can be slow, processes are heavy, and it often takes multiple layers of approvals to get work moving. Even when there’s alignment on the “what,” execution can drag due to internal complexity and coordination overhead.
