Is this all one big con ?

Pros

Good working relationship with colleagues. Local Branch has good relationship with the community. 4 Weekly Pay structure.

Cons

Having gone through 6 Managers in just over a year, with every one coming in assuring staff that "things will get better" only for them to leave having wrecked the store and Staff Morale on the way through, it is not a good environment. This week alone .. 1 CTM has quit with possibly another 2 following due to the atmosphere within the store that even the Customers are picking up on. It doesn't bode well for "Be Yourself Always", when the current concencus is to just do your job in silence unless you are speaking to Customers. Staff are under the impression that "cost cutting" due to minimum wage requirements demand that less staff are supposed to "step up" to cover the Co Op's additional costs, but when 1 person has to do the job of 4 people, it's becoming impossible.

Hi there, this is very concerning to read. I recommend that you speak to your Area Manager about this as first point of call and/or contact HR People Services on hrservices@co-operative.coop or 0330 606 1001. The welfare of our colleagues is very important to us, if you'd like to chat further you can reach us on Facebook 'Co-op Colleagues' or Twitter '@CoopUK'. Thanks ^Sophie
