Pros

Discount on milk, bread and eggs. Cheap staff sales when food is almost out of date. It's good money if you do the job temporarily whilst looking for something with job security.

Cons

Having to watch others stand around and talk whilst you break your back working hard. Then you get management complaining about how your not hitting the inhuman targets. It's just not a physically sustainable job doing picking. You lose an unhealthy amount of weight, which at first you'll think it's great till you become a weak twig floating about with backaches and other repetitive strain injuries.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry that you feel this way. Our depot targets are set with colleagues and store service in mind. We pride ourselves on excellent service to our stores. Our managers work with our colleagues to coach and guide them to ensure we're supporting in the best way possible whilst achieving our store service. Colleagues are able to apply for roles once they've successfully completed their probation and all opportunities are then open to them. Selection is then based on the role, behaviours and experience.

Pros

Subsidised gym in the building

Cons

Everything. Horrendous training (3 weeks of ‘intense’ training where they just throw a load of information at you and then leave you to just ‘do the job’). Don’t bother asking your manager for any help because they’ll tell you they can’t be bothered to answer your questions, if you even get an answer at all! No support, no social side and a school like environment. A ridiculous amount of work for shocking pay - honestly don’t do it to yourself. Advertised as a hybrid role but don’t even think about working from home for at least 7 months, and at that point, you’ll only get 1 day a week. No work/life balance whatsoever.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. The training for our Case Manager roles can be up to 6 months and you'd need to be office based during this time to make sure you're familiar with the role. On completion of the training you have the option to work in a hybrid way if your role is suitable. However, any hybrid working arrangement is subject to the ongoing agreement of management and sometimes might need to be changed for business reasons. We'd like to learn more about your experience of your training, what you've described in your review falls short of our standards and we'd like the opportunity to investigate this.
