Unfulfilling

Pros

Wonderful coworkers, working from home is nice. The job is easy enough to learn and the training is a highlight. Coaching is generally very well done.

Cons

There are many. The pay is abhorrent. Moving into a senior role comes with an 80 cent pay rise. Incentive pay is very difficult to maintain if you aren’t a robot. In my two years of employment, I had five different team leaders due to constant internal reshuffles. One of these teams was rife with favouritism, which absolutely killed my morale while working under that manager. The pressure is immense at the job. There is minimal time off calls, bathroom breaks are heavily monitored - you will be personally called out if you take time off calls for any reason or amount of time. I once had a timestamp for a bathroom break shared openly with my team by my manager - absolutely disgusting behaviour. Internal progression is only possible if you’re friends with those in higher positions. If you prefer to just clock in and clock out, you will struggle to progress within the company. Strict work-from-home work space requirements mean that your office room will likely be uncomfortable. I understand this is to meet client demands, but it felt like working out of a padded cell with an iMac in the corner. This job is deeply unfulfilling and will erode your mental and physical health. I can only recommend this job to somebody who needs employment to get back on their feet - even then, don’t stop looking for other jobs. You do not want to stay here for long.

Hello and thank you for the review- you've mentioned some things we really want to address. First, we want to thank you for leaving us this feedback to consider when we talk about making Concentrix Australia a great place to work. Each month we provide our leadership teams with an overview of how both current and former staff feel their work experience with us is and it's crucial for us to share your perspective on favoritism and micromanagement within our work place since that is not the integrity we promote within our culture. We do hope that in the future you reconsider Concentrix as an employer and have a much better experience.

Pros

The people you meet in training sessions turn into great friends and people to drown your sorrows with because of this place.

Cons

Management have no clue. Don;t try and o for promotions unless you know some one above you well enough for them to recommend you. Training is a joke. You sit in a classroom for a month, playing games and doing online courses which are supposed to prepare you for the role but they don't. Then you get scolded like children when the big boys come around and your not faking a smile and doing the work as your told. Once you get on the phones god forbid you have to use the bathroom for more than 3 minutes. They will give you a warning. And if you get 3, your basically out.

Pros

- Friendly people - Sometimes the projects are interesting -Ability to take on more responsibility

Cons

Since the acquisition by Concentrix things changed a lot. There seemed to be a push for Tigerspike to do more consulting type work and engage more with Concentrix. Much more offshoring of resources. The projects I worked on were interesting but they were usually bogged down by politics and just doing whatever the client wanted us to do. A massive exodus of talent which left the people who remained picking up the pieces and doing x2 workload. The company struggled to sell any new projects which was demoralising. Most of the UK and Europe teams have been working on the same client for 3+ years. I wonder what would happen when that client ends the contract and goes in house. Training was supported but most of the time I'd have to self study using alternative cheaper methods than a course in order to save money. Salary was mediocre and the promotion process wasn't great either.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review - all feedback is highly valued and very much appreciated. I'm so happy to see you've rated Culture and Diversity/Inclusion so highly! We certainly appear to have this right when it comes to hiring the right people who ADD to our culture (not just "fit in") - it's continuously evolving. We have absolutely had a focus on consulting work as part of our business strategy - we want to continue to increase the value we can add to our clients (it's positive that you note that shift). We of course want to work more closely with the broader business (Concentrix) as there is strength in the shared purpose of delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients and a far richer pool of talent to help support that goal - noted that it doesn't come without its challenges with working across multiple timezones. Thanks again and all the best for the next step in your career. Cheers, Charley Rowley.
