Pros

Colleagues are generally helpful, team players and help each other with challenging moments in sales Campaigns are run from time to time to drive sales through better pricing for customers, and better rewards for salespersons

Cons

Too many systems I also want to point out two people in the backline team in SG Commercial who have no respect for Sales colleagues. there is a lady who does up sales campaigns and calculates commission who is often rude and condescending to salespeople, who talks down to them during briefings and makes comments to others that only she uses her brains, and that salespeople have no brains. In the same team there is another lady managing sales training attendance who is very rude to most salespeople, very loud in the office and who doesn't know her own stuff.

Work till you die

Pros

Work life balance in DHL Express Singapore only means work becomes life and you die working. Insurance benefit is good to cover up for that. Good company, if they don't like you, they will manipulate you to leave the company instead of termination. So start looking for another job when you get the hint. Sometimes if you are lucky and yellow, when your manager don't like you they will promote you, so you are someone else's problem.

Cons

Very difficult to progress unless you know who to suck up to. Or else you will be stuck in your current position for long time. You will be expected to show initiative to their programs that are way above your pay grade. They have employees survey every year but you cannot tell the truth about how you feel towards the company or else they will hunt you down. Management claims there is open door policy however be wary, they will mark you after that.

Pros

“#1 best workplace to work at”

Cons

At DHL you will be seeking for growth, however, it is facilitated for those that have “connections” or favoritism. Saw so many people with talents and yet they were not recognized as capable professionals, which brought low morale for employees, to add to that the salaries are not competitive and not reasonable for the level of education for employees and cost of living.. If you went to school please stay away! Majority of the people don’t even have an MBA or even a bachelors, which will leave you with dealing with entitled employees that have been growing with the company “since their courier days”. If you are bilingual go to a company that actually values it, so many times I was fixing, translating and handling information for others that were “seniors”.
