      There are quite a few drawbacks. First, the training for OBMs is inadequate, they throw you into the deep end and say, "It's okay if you struggle," without realizing this leads to burnout. The pay isn't competitive compared to other SaaS/HCM companies, with 30% tied to variable compensation. Expect long hours, slow ticket responses, frustrated clients, and little to no career development. Leadership focuses more on client updates than employee well-being. The turnover rate is extremely high, and unless you're desperate to break into the industry, working at Deel simply isn't worth it. I am happy to never have to see a Slack channel again, Deel ruined Slack for me.

      Remote work is real, professional colleagues

      Under the excuse of being the start up growing at the fastest pace, Deel will encourage you to work 12 hours a day and during PTO if possible. Nothing is ever enough. The remote culture is a strategy to isolate employees. Then, they make you feel you are the only one that is not reaching your goals and encourage you to work extra hours. Unlimited time off is also a scam, you will have to beg for your holidays to be approved and end up working in public holidays. As for the management, they are inexperienced and unprofessional. Regarding the role specifically, you will be assigned a portfolio of over 300 accounts that will be imposible to manage. You will not be able to provide quality to your clients or to grow in your career, your only goal will be to survive the day. KPIs are change constantly along with bonuses and SPIFF, so you will never know if you reached your targets or how much you will be paid at the end of the month. Don’t bother asking, management doesn’t know either.

      Working remotely from home is a plus.

      I will just say: don’t do it to yourself. This company may sound like progressive and supporting, but it’s not. My experience was very disappointing, especially the lack of competence from management. Management will never support you because they are scared of leadership themselves. You are basically on your own with all the issues and problems that occur, and isuues happen all the time because all the requirements and documentation is a mess. In addition, there is micromanagement all over in processes. Also, a LOT of working overtime and no one will appreciate it.
