Pros

The team I worked with was very talented and I had a great mentor as a manager who was always willing to fight for his team and provide the best work conditions and self-improvement opportunities. This created an atmosphere where everybody was engaged in the work and inclined to help each other. Also, the technical problems were fascinating to work with given its global context.

Cons

There was a LOT of overtime, and they don't pay for overtime. This was painful and led me to have a burnout episode which really impacted my health and career in a bad way. Unfortunately, these overtime engagements always came from the top executives, so everybody needed to be there including managers and directors, so nobody was safe from this scenario, having to spend several late nights, holidays and weekends working. There were times when suddenly in the middle of the week we were told to work for the entire weekend, having to cancel personal plans as such.

Pros

Excellent compensation for entry-level. Fixed salary with no prior sales experience required and decent benefits factored in, with lots of extra Personal Wellness Time that is not PTO. Lots of little surprises throughout the week, weekly paid lunches, good office setting, supportive development structure. Potential for quick advancement. WFH friday and monday is nice.

Cons

There is a clear desire to micromanage by upper management, through emphasis on metrics that bear no indication to how well someone actually performs as a salesperson. In addition, there is clear favoritism/outright fudging of numbers and cheating that almost everyone participates in to meet their assigned metrics. Very low lead count with many being terrible and outdated leads. Other red flags include Dell being so pro-remote only to take that away this year even though sales peaked in COVID, required work outings, and more that I'm sure I'm missing. I was told I'd be promoted in 6-9 months by a recruiter; it's been 10.

Pros

Remote work, flexible and convenient. Relaxed and comfortable work environment, very reasonable workload, no toxic politics and very friendly and reachable managers. Courses, trainings and workshops offered to develop personal and professional skills.

Cons

Job description is very different from actual role. Vague KPIs and very little room for improvement on the job or skills development by practice in the daily tasks - theoretical learning only. Very low potential for growth, promotion, career advancement. Compensations are below the market average
