Pros

Used to be a great company to work for, but ever since this year started it’s turned a full 180.

Cons

I used to love working for Dell, but where do I even start. There’s so much toxicity in management, they never listen to you no matter how much you voice your concern and treat you like another gear in the machine instead of an actual human being. The work load is way too much, you have so many responsibilities with no nearly enough pay. Not to mention they’ll take your hard earned money away from you when they screw up on quotas. Last year our leadership was a big advocate for “nobody should be forced to return to the office” and then they randomly decide to start forcing people back in three days a week. It’s almost a joke at this point at how fast this place is tanking.

Pros

I've enjoyed working for Dell for the past 1.5 years. I work fully remotely so that's definitely a plus. However, I know as of now Dell is only hiring near our sites (Nashville, TN; Round Rock, TX; Oklahoma City, OK). I am really enjoying my manager at the moment. They are able to lead our team effectively and help us reach our goals as individuals. Dell has a lot of employee resources that go beyond what I have seen at other companies. For example, health benefits such as 12 free therapy or coaching sessions are fantastic. I have utilized this myself and found it super beneficial. We have 3 buckets for time (holiday, personal wellness, and paid time off). I feel that our time off is very generous and flexible.

Cons

Not a lot of transparency on the different kinds of roles available in the company. You have to be very aggressive with your networking in order to "climb the ladder" quicker. Like with every commission-based job, the pay is not consistent and is based on how/when your customers buy.
