Pros

Zero pros. People say right Dell is Hell

Cons

Lots of micro management. No bio breaks and they say if u need to go for bio break manager and go are we small kids that we should tell and go for bio. These managers during the training period if u do mistake they give u red alert which leads to no increment next year Funniest part is you are being judged even in training Training management is worst. Their tools are always down and never work properly and if you still do mistakes they blame you. Since it’s a product based company they’re not ready to accepts any Dsat on your cases and if you get one you’re dead they’ll ensure that. Managers go whenever they want leave and during festival these managers have their leaves. But when u ask leave for your festival they ensure you don’t get and you work If you join dell forget leave forget peace. They give you work from home option which is Hell as they be behind your a** .I wonder if I go office they’ll be even more worst. They keep getting updates every week and if even senior agents tell it’s not right updates they don’t accept. They say it’s not only you it’s the whole floor facing this issue. They don’t use their brains if the whole floor is facing problem then it’s not wrong with agent but with management. All these managers are friends including the high level managers. Worst than toxic place to work. I guess hell would be better than Dell

Pros

You get 2 weeks paid vacation and PTO off the bat. Also you get health insurance day one.

Cons

This role isn’t for everyone. It isn’t for someone who has work experience, the target fresh out of college students because they tend to not have any professional experience and this is their first “real job” and they can and will take advantage of you. The way small business is ran doesn’t make any sense. You can and will get burnt out. Hitting your quota is the least of your concern because you have to hit 10+ other metrics. The sales tactics they tell you to use is dishonest. They are always changing the comp plan and capping out the sales reps. The leads they give you are mostly bad especially when you’re a new rep expected to make at least 50 calls a day. They are either dead lines, businesses that just started and don’t know how Dell got their information and leads that have been rejected by previous reps but recycled into the new hires so those customers are livid because they have been begging to get off of the call list. Also you can only move upward like a coach, manager and overlay if you live in Nashville. The people who are in office don’t like the remote workers because they have to go into the office.

Pros

Competitive compensation packages Good health insurance benefits Extensive learning paths for continued industry education. Extensive set of tools (apps) provided for execution of roles.

Cons

Highly managed (tight) compensation structure w/ limitations (caps). Sales commissions paid on invoicing NOT sales bookings. Highly political organization limiting promotional and/or advancement opportunities. Transactional focused sales organization that struggles w/ consultative sales approach. Heavy DELL branded attitude driven (anything else is seen as inferior).
