Pros

Work/Life balance was great and working from home was great.

Cons

Managers show lots of favoritism and give best account sets to their chosen people which will then determine if you hit or not and get promoted. Managers are so inundated and busy themselves that they often can not help guide or help with managing their subordinates so you are left on you own without much direction until the wheels fall off, good luck! The systems/tools often literally don't work or are very slow. You are always asked to do more more more, but literally you cant because of the tools. For an IT company their IT systems suck.

Pros

Ability to set a career path and grow within the company. Mentor program Inclusive culture

Cons

Over staffed Promote some managers to the level of incompetentcy, in other words, some managers dont have the skill set to be a manager and dont actively do anything to enhance the skill to be a manager, yet they are promoted because they are good friends with the hiring director.

Pros

Good pay. Dell was ahead of the curve with remote work, flex hours. Nice campuses with food courts, gyms, etc.

Cons

Constant restructuring and the threat of layoffs. M&As, buying one technology, then selling for another. Once a great culture of trust, now a micromanagement nightmare of Agile reporting and daily scrums. Onslaught of mandatory DEI training and diversity hiring practices. MARC, Be the change, implicit bias, microaggressions and privilege, non-inclusive language (don't say black friday, blacklist/whitelist, master/slave, blackout, blackhat/whitehat, segregate, man-hours, manpower, rule of thumb). Massive investments in the DEI org chart, at the same time the company cut 401k matching, suspended pay increases and bonuses.
